Disposable Wedding Cameras - Your Wedding Through the Eyes of Your Guests!

Disposable wedding cameras have been prominently displayed in the center of the table of countless weddings that I have attended. In the days before every person in the world owned a digital camera, this was the photography technology of choice, actually one of the only choices. Even in a digital world, disposable cameras have still found their place.

I recently attended a friend's wedding and noticed that Red Rose designed disposable cameras were on the table, which simply fit the theme of their wedding perfectly. I ask my friend, "Why did you decide to put out the disposable cameras?" He simply replied, "We spent a year planning this wedding for my guests, I just want to see my wedding through their eyes". Well, I thought, what a great insight.

I stopped to think about it. I know that many people planning a wedding hire a professional photographer who owns the newest Nikon camera and can Photoshop out any blemish and who can take the most perfect pictures, however do they really capture the whole picture? I say, no.

After all of the music stopped, and the limos pulled away, the only thing left were the memories by beloved friends and family. Disposable wedding cameras change that. They allow us to see the wedding from the guest's point of view. No professional photographer is going to catch the one guest who was slightly wacky (we have all seen them), or Aunt Bertha who fell over in her chair. However, I bet anything they will be caught by the disposable wedding cameras provided to the guests at the wedding.

These are the true memories of the wedding. The memories that make us look back and say, "Hey remember at the wedding when...."

Here are some tips how to use the disposable cameras effectively at a wedding:

  1. With many different styles of disposable cameras available, choose a design that will fit your wedding theme and enhance the look of the table. For example, Red Rose Styled Disposable Camera, Silver Bells Styled Disposable Camera.
  2. Many Disposable Camera suppliers will provide you with a table card that matches the theme of the camera. Simply put a message on the card that invites your guests to use the camera, and sign the card with the Bride and Grooms names. For example: Help us capture our memories. Please use this camera to take pictures of anything memorable, but please leave the camera on the table. Thank you for coming and making our day special. Love, Ann and John.
  3. Make sure if you are having an indoor wedding with low lighting conditions, you purchase disposable cameras with a flash with 400 film. Also ensure that the film is from a reputable company like Fuji or Kodak.
  4. Order a Personalized Disposable Camera, that woul include the Bride and Groom's Name and the date of the Wedding.
  5. Make sure you have a basket that is labeled to collect the cameras after the wedding is over, to ensure that you are able to retrieve the cameras when the ceremony is over.
Following these tips will ensure that you will be able to reap the benefits of the behind the scene memories forever.
